Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 25, 2026

Grantown Dog Park respects your privacy and only collects the information needed to operate bookings, process payments, provide access to the park, and support customers.

Information we collect

When you make a booking or contact us, we may collect:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your phone number, where provided;
  • booking details, including date, time, duration, and number of dogs;
  • payment status and payment reference metadata;
  • access code records linked to your booking;
  • customer support messages; and
  • basic technical information needed to keep the website secure and functioning.

We do not collect or store your full payment card details.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • manage and confirm bookings;
  • process payments;
  • send booking confirmations and access information;
  • generate and manage temporary access codes for the park;
  • respond to customer enquiries;
  • maintain booking, accounting, and operational records;
  • prevent misuse, fraud, or unauthorised access; and
  • improve the website and booking process where analytics consent has been given.

Our lawful basis for using this information is usually that it is necessary to provide the booking service you have requested. In some cases, we may also process information to meet legal obligations, for legitimate operational and security purposes, or with your consent, such as for analytics cookies.

Payments

Payments are processed securely through Stripe Checkout. We do not store your full card details on our servers. We only store payment status information and related booking references so that we can confirm and manage your booking.

Newsletter and marketing emails

If you choose to sign up to our newsletter, we will use your email address to send occasional updates, news, offers, or information about Grantown Dog Park. We will not add you to marketing emails unless you have chosen to sign up.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us at info@grantowndogpark.com.

Third-party services

We use trusted third-party service providers to help operate the booking system. These may include payment processors, database and hosting providers, email delivery providers, analytics providers where consent has been given, and smart lock/access code providers. These providers only receive the information needed to provide their service.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies or similar technologies where needed for the website and booking system to function.

We only use analytics where you opt in through our cookie consent banner. Analytics helps us understand how people use the website and improve the booking flow. Cookie and similar technology rules can apply even where data is anonymous, so keeping analytics behind consent is a sensible approach.

How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for bookings, customer support, operational records, accounting, legal obligations, and security purposes.

Where we do not have a fixed retention period, we use the nature of the information, the reason it was collected, and any legal or operational need to decide how long it should be kept. The ICO says privacy notices should either state retention periods or explain the criteria used to decide them.

Your rights

You have rights over your personal data, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and portability where applicable. You may also withdraw consent where we rely on consent, such as for analytics cookies.

To make a request, email:

contact@grantowndogpark.com

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how your personal data is handled. The ICO expects UK privacy notices to tell people they can complain to the ICO.
